Nooie 360 Cam 2

The nooie cam is really cool, the quality is surprisingly good. We enjoy watching it pan around the room tracking the cat running around. We didn't realize that there is no recorded data unless you pay for the "Nooie Cloud" or store it to a micro USB, which is fine for our purposes (checking on the cat in the middle of the day). We like that the camera can be off most of the time until we want to check on it. There are several options for tracking and alerts that would be cool for other purposes.

I had quite a bit of difficulty setting up the Nooie 360 cam because I live on a college campus with protected public wifi. BUT it did eventually work. I wanted to share my experience because I had technical issues at every step of the way, and while the Nooie support team was responsive they gave generic feedback. So here is what worked for me to get it set up on an iPhone 12 hotspot then on my public campus wifi.

1. Get 2 iphones with 1 to host the hotspot and 1 will do the Nooie app pairing
2. Change the name of the iphone because this will be the name of the hotspot which cannot have special characters (my default was "Bob's iPhone", I made it just "Bob")
3. Turn on the iPhone hotspot on this phone, and make sure to turn on "Maximize Compatibility" to switch it to 2.4 GHz frequency (and not the 5.0 GHz which is the default for iPhone hotspots after iPhone 12)
4. On the other phone with the Nooie app, join the hotspot of the other phone so it shows up as the wifi you are using and go through the initiation steps.
5. At the QR code step I had issues with it reading on my phone screen, so I had to send the QR code to my computer, put it in a powerpoint with a white background and put the camera in front of my computer, this made it pair immediately, otherwise I could only get it to recognize the QR code after waving around the phone screen for like 20 min, which is not great.
6. After this put both phones and the camera right beside each other to let them pair. This worked for me to get it totally set up on the hotspot
7. To get the device on the public wifi I had to go into the settings of the camera on the app and find the MAC address. Using this I was able to register the device on my campus network.
8. Reset the device, connect your phone with the app to the public wifi, then go through the pairing steps again. This was much quicker on the wifi than on the iPhone hotspot

So I have had the Nooie 360 indoor cam for a few weeks now as its amazing, tracks my doggy in the kitchen when I go out and I can even talk to him too, I have Nooie cameras outside as well and Nooie smart plugs for lights, just wish you did the Nooie doorbell in the UK as I really want one to add to my Nooie collection.

I have been using the Nooie 360 Cam 2 for two weeks now, and I am impressed with the resolution of the camera, especially in the dark. You can't get better than this. We have an old smart phone that we use as a full-time monitor. We even used it at a hotel on their wifi and worked well. I will look to Nooie when I want another camera.

Not only can this camera be used for pets but for babies or any nook and cranny you want a camera on in your house. Are use it for my two month old baby and it is very functional and modern for any area around the house. It works well and helps me with my anxiety when my baby wakes up. It has alerts and the app is very easy to use the instructions are clear and helps you step-by-step along the way. Overall I would highly recommend this and I am very happy with this purchase.
